Summary
The customer needed a large steel artwork hung — 1085mm high by 605mm wide and weighing about 12kg. Fixing points were visible on the back of the piece, and there were two possible locations in Redwood, Christchurch. A key constraint was that no dwangs were at an appropriate height and studs were 600mm apart, so the job required a mounting bracket to span a 600mm stud spacing, adjustable mounting points and heavy-duty wall plugs. The task received 2 offers, and the selected offer of $70 was accepted. On site, the installer confirmed the fixing points, fitted a wide adjustable bracket to align with the 600mm stud centres, and used heavy-duty plugs where the bracket could not be fixed into a stud. The artwork was securely hung in one of the nominated locations. The poster left a five-star rating and praised the quality workmanship and clear communication.

Piece is made of steel. H = 1085 W = 605 Hanging point spacing = 480 Weight is approximately 12kg I have two possible locations it could go. Both locations appear to have a similar issue in that no dwangs seem to be anywhere near an appropriate height for it to go. Studs are 600 apart so some sort of mounting bracket that width with ability to adjust the mounting points would be the ideal….if such a thing exists. Would be interested in the thoughts/options from an expert.
